Keep Up On Your Profession

I found this interesting article "Hey, New Academic Librarians, You Need to Keep Up Too" by Steven Bell while researching news in Academic Libraries.  It certainly was a wake-up call to me.  I seemed to do a good job of keeping up on the library journals last summer, when I had very little in ways of homework, but during the school year, I find myself working, reading, writing, and playing a bit too much on Sporcle (don't we all?). So, in effort to learn more about my chosen profession, I've posted links on the right sidebar to two of the biggest higher education electronic periodicals: Inside Higher Education and Chronicle.

Besides those two links, I would also suggest the following:

Library Journal (www.libraryjournal.com)
ALA (www.ala.org)
A Directory of Open Access Journals (http://www.doaj.org/doaj?func=subject&cpid=129)
American Libraries (http://americanlibrariesmagazine.org/)

Have any other great links to share with the rest of us?  Please post them in the comments below.

Cheers!
